Opened in 2017, the SSLI Field Station in Skukuza represents the future of conservation education. Designed to be off-grid and sustainable, the campus integrates science, community, and environmental awareness.

The Skukuza Science Leadership Initiative (SSLI)

The Skukuza Science Leadership Initiative (SSLI) is a partnership between the Organization for Tropical Studies (OTS), the Nsasani Trust, and South African National Parks. 

This initiative is aimed at bridging the gap between disadvantaged communities, tertiary education, and the biodiversity sector.

The Skukuza Science Leadership Initiative (SSLI) partners OTS, the Nsasani Trust and SANParks to create pathways from disadvantaged communities into tertiary education and the biodiversity sector.
